Since 1926, the Greater Dunedin Chamber of Commerce has been at the heart of our vibrant community, promoting local businesses and enhancing the quality of life in Dunedin. With over 500 members and the busiest visitor center in Pinellas County—welcoming over 18,000 visitors annually—we are committed to fostering economic prosperity and a diverse, inclusive community.
Our journey began on February 23, 1926, when a group of local businessmen recognized the need for a dedicated organization to champion Dunedin's growth. By March 16 of that year, a meeting at the Dixie Theater resulted in $16,230 pledged to establish the Chamber. Over the years, we've called 11 different locations home, each reflecting a chapter in Dunedin's evolving story. From our early days at the corner of Edgewater and President (now a private residence) to a bright orange board-and-batten structure at Main and Broadway, our headquarters have been as dynamic as the community we serve. In 1991, we settled into our current residence at 301 Main Street—a building rich in history, originally erected in 1913 as the Bank of Dunedin and later housing various businesses and even residential apartments.
There are many membership opportunities, like business services, educational opportunities, free listings on the website and in the membership directory, display space in the Chamber’s Visitors Center, opportunities to network, and much more. Dunedin is a very diverse and welcoming community, and the Chamber reflects this feel in its organizational structure and programs.

William L. Davidson, author of Dunedin Thru the Years 1850–1978, credited the Chamber with putting Dunedin on the map: "If one had to single out one organization which more than any other has been responsible for putting us on the map, it would have to be the Greater Dunedin Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has been touting the wonders of Dunedin to the outside world ever since 1926." Today, we continue this legacy by supporting local businesses, hosting community events, and serving as a vital resource for residents and visitors alike. Posted on Liz GlushkoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So happy to find lots of “orange” swag including sunglasses that were in the shape of an orange, leaves and all. Staff was very helpful and were very proud of Dunedin. Go there first before you explore the town.
