2025 Advocacy Efforts

Jolley Trolley

  • Objective: Increase the frequency of the Jolley Trolley service from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes.
  • Impact: Enhanced transportation for residents and visitors, making Dunedin’s downtown and attractions more accessible.
  • Objective: Continue advocating for the return of ferry services as soon as marina repairs are complete.
  • Impact: Sustainable transit options that enhance the visitor experience and ease transportation for residents.
  • Objective: Secure a final replacement date for the Causeway Bridge, including underground utilities to improve aesthetics and reliability.
  • Impact: A safer, more efficient, and visually appealing bridge to support business access and community growth.
  • Objective: Advocate for funding for significant events, including Pride and Mardi Gras celebrations.

Parking Solutions

  • Parking Garage: Full support for the proposed parking garage at Douglas and Scotland to accommodate growing demand.
  • Parking Sensors: Advocate for deploying sensors throughout downtown to optimize parking availability and efficiency.
  • Downtown WiFi: Push for fast-tracking public WiFi projects to enhance connectivity and access for businesses and visitors.
  • Streetscaping & Landscaping Plan: Support full implementation of a revitalized downtown streetscape and landscaping plan.
  • Visitor Center Funding: Advocate for increased annual funding to enhance visitor engagement.
